Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum, on the Lamar University campus, will mark the 112th anniversary of Spindletop on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with family activities, special guest speakers, refreshments and a full re-enactment of the historic Lucas Gusher, sponsored by Avon Products, Inc.

The celebration is free and open to the public. Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown is located on U.S. 69 at University Drive in Beaumont.
