The Hamill Brothers - Al, Curt, and Jim - began work on the historic Spindletop oil well in October 1900. Gladys City will recognize the Hamill's tenacity, ingenuity and success with a special video presentation throughout the day. Plus families can learn more about the Hamills and build their own Spindletop derricks.

Family activity sessions at 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Reservations encouraged, but not required.

Free admission all day, plus complimentary refreshments and gusher re-enactment at 4 p.m.
