Donations of nonperishable food items will be welcomed.

Get involved with other Lamar University alumni in solving the problem of hunger in Southeast Texas. By donating nonperishable food items and volunteering as a group at the Food Bank, the positive impact of LU alumni in the community will be multiplied many times over. The size of our project will depend on the number of volunteers, so please let us know if you will be there to help on October 6 by registering at lamar.edu/alumni by September 26. 

Rules for Volunteering:

• No one under the age of 13
• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult
• Closed-toed shoes required

Most of the volunteer work will be physical and is not in a climate-controlled environment. If you would like to volunteer but cannot meet these conditions, please call the Food Bank at 409-880-8921 or alumni@lamar.edu
